Manufacturing characteristics: According to EN 10305-2 (DIN 2393/C) and the internal V.W. standards for the specific manufacturing of high precision tubes for shock absorbers and gas springs.
Standard steels and supply conditions:
E195 (St 34-2) ; E 235 (St 37-2) in +C (BK) conditions
OD: Size range between 15 and 60 mm
Wall thickness: Between 1 and 3 mm
Tolerances:
• Inside diameter tolerance between +/- 0.03 and +/- 0.06 mm.
• Tolerance on wall thickness +/- 7.5%
• Ovality and concentricity within the maximum deviation of the inside diameter.
Lengths: Random lengths of approx 6000 mm with plain ends
Finishing characteristics:
• Inside surface: perfectly smooth with Ra value max 0.5 μm
• Outside surface: clean, with no imperfection such as scabs or gouges with Ra value Max. 6.3 μm
Testing:
• Tensile test as specified in DIN EN 10002/1
• Elongation test as specified in DIN EN 10234 with cone angle 60°
• Bending test as specified in DIN EN 10233
• ND test 100% and visual inspection
Certificate: According to EN10204/2.2 with chemical analysis and mechanical characteristics
Packaging: In hexagonal bundles protected with plastic foil and wood
